Replenishment Controls
Configure replenishment rules by area and work zone—methods, min/max thresholds, source locations, and UOM settings. Fine-tune how and when pick faces get refilled.
What are Replenishment Controls?
Replenishment Controls are the configuration rules that govern how and when pick locations get refilled from reserve storage. They define which areas supply inventory, what replenishment method to use, and the thresholds that trigger replenishment tasks.
Different warehouse zones have different replenishment needs. High-velocity areas might need aggressive triggers (25% minimum) to prevent stockouts, while slower zones can operate with higher thresholds (40%) to reduce unnecessary tasks. Replenishment Controls let you fine-tune each zone independently.
Why Zone-Specific Controls Matter
A one-size-fits-all replenishment strategy either generates too many tasks (wasting labor) or too few (causing stockouts). Zone-specific controls let you balance efficiency and service levels for each area based on its unique velocity and criticality.
Access Replenishment Controls from Inventory → Replenishment → Replenishment Controls. You can create new rules, edit existing ones, or copy configurations between zones. Changes take effect immediately for all future replenishment task generation.
Configurable Settings
Fine-tune every aspect of your replenishment strategy
Replenishment Area
The source area to pull inventory from (e.g., Bulk, Reserve, Overflow)
Fulfillment Center
Which FC or zone should supply the replenishment inventory
Method
Letdown (full qty), Restock Pick (partial), or other configured methods
Min/Max UOM
Unit of measure for threshold calculations: Each, Case, or Pallet
Minimum Qty %
Percentage threshold that triggers a replenishment task when reached
Open Location %
Target percentage of locations to keep available for new inventory
Key Capabilities
Comprehensive replenishment configuration for any operation
Area & Zone Configuration
Define different replenishment rules for different warehouse areas and work zones. Each zone can have unique settings.
Replenishment Method Selection
Choose the replenishment method: Letdown, Restock Pick, or other approaches based on operational needs.
Min/Max Thresholds
Set minimum quantity percentages to trigger replenishment. Control when tasks are generated based on inventory levels.
Source Area Selection
Define which area and fulfillment center to replenish from. Route inventory from the right reserve locations.
Unit of Measure Settings
Configure min/max thresholds using appropriate units of measure: eaches, cases, or pallets.
Open Location Percentage
Set the percentage of locations you want to remain open. Balance inventory density with operational flexibility.
Configuration Workflow
Set up zone-specific replenishment rules in six steps
Access Replenishment Controls
Navigate to Inventory → Replenishment → Replenishment Controls in the JASCI menu.
Select Area & Zone
Click "Add New" to create rules for a new area/zone, or "Edit" to modify existing controls.
Choose Source Area
Select the area and fulfillment center that will supply replenishment inventory.
Set Method & UOM
Choose the replenishment method and configure the unit of measure for thresholds.
Configure Thresholds
Set minimum quantity percentage to trigger replenishment and open location targets.
Save Configuration
Click Save/Update. Rules apply immediately to replenishment task generation.
Operational Impact
Right-sized replenishment rules optimize inventory and labor
